SINGAPORE

 

Age of Animal

To travel to Singapore, your pet must be at least 7 months or older. They need their own Rabies vaccination, which can be given at 12 weeks, and a Rabies Neutralising Antibody Titre Test report

 

Microchip

 Your pet must be microchipped. The microchip should be implanted either before or at the same time as the Rabies vaccination.

 

Rabies Vaccination

The primary Rabies vaccination must be older than 6 months, but not older than one year at the time of the intended travel date. A yearly booster vaccination is required.

  

Annual Vaccinations

Annual vaccinations for dogs and cats are required and must be older than 14 days and not older than 1 year at the time of travel.

 

For Dogs: Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis, Canine Parvovirus, Canine Parainfluenza, Bordetella Bronchiseptica (Kennel Cough), and Leptospirosis.

 

For Cats: Feline Panleukopenia (Infectious Enteritis/Feline Distemper), Feline Rhinotracheitis, Chlamydophila Felis and Feline Calicivirus.

 

Rabies Neutralising Antibody Titre Test (RNATT)

Blood samples must be collected at least 30-31 days after the Rabies vaccination and within 6 months of travel. The first day is counted from the date the testing laboratory (Onderstepoort) received the blood samples.

 

Banned Breeds

Importation of the following breeds of dogs and their crosses are not allowed into Singapore:

 

American Pit Bull Terrier also any Pit Bill Terrier variants

American Staffordshire Terrier

Staffordshire Bull Terrier

American Bulldog

Neopolitan Mastiff

Toska

Akita

Dogo Argentino

Boerboel

Fila Brasileiro

Perro de Presa Canario

 

Importation of the following cat breeds and crosses are not allowed into Singapore:

 

Bengal and Savannah cats and crosses of 4th generation and below.

 

Import Permit

An Import Permit is required for Singapore.

 

Quarantine

Pets entering Singapore must quarantine for 30 days.

 

Health Certificate

Pets must have an Official Health Certificate issued by a private veterinarian, confirming compliance with the above requirements, and countersigned by an official State Vet. This must be done within 7 days of departure
