Ivory Coast

 

Age of Animal

Puppies and kittens must be 4 months or older for travel to Ivory Coast.

They must have their own Rabies vaccination (which can be administered at 12 weeks of age).

 

Microchip

 Your pet must be microchipped before or on the same day as receiving the Rabies vaccination.

 

Rabies Vaccination

 Your pet’s Rabies vaccination must be at least 31 days old and not older than 12 months. Yearly booster vaccinations are required.

 

Annual Vaccinations

Annual vaccinations are required and must be older than 30 days but not older than one year upon arrival. If your pet needs boarding or kenneling before or after travel, all reputable kennels will require proof of a valid vaccination.

 

For Dogs: Canine Distemper, Infectious Canine Hepatitis, and Canine Parvovirus,

Canine Parainfluenza, Bordetella Bronchiseptica (Kennel Cough), Leptospirosis.

 

For Cats: Feline Panleukopenia (Infectious Enteritis), Feline Respiratory Disease Complex, and Feline Leukemia. Snuffles vaccinations for cats are also highly recommended.

 

Import Permit

An Import Permit is required for Ivory Coast.

 

Health Certificate

Your pet must have a Health Certificate issued by a private veterinarian, confirming compliance with the above requirements, and countersigned by the State Vet. This must be done within 10 days of departure.
